Michael Fromm
CEO
Michael has spent his entire professional career in wholesale distribution. After joining Fromm in 1991, he worked in sales, operations, accounting, and marketing to learn the electrical industry before being named President in 1997. In 2009, Michael transitioned day-to-day management to a professional team with the aim of building long term sustainability while honoring the rich traditions and culture of a family business.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys running, bicycling, hiking, skiing, and playing and listening to music.
John Hanna
President and COO
John has spent his career in the electrical distribution industry working his way up to his most recent role here at Fromm as President and COO. After studying at Lafayette College in Easton PA, he started working at All Phase Electric as Assistant Branch Manager, ultimately charged with opening a branch on his own. John joined Fromm in 1997 as Commercial Construction Channel Manager and received a steady stream of promotions with increased responsibility including, VP Sales, Executive VP and ultimately President and COO. John values the principles of hands-on experience, working your way up, and team leadership.
For John, “it’s about the team, not about me. The associates at Fromm make this company the market leader in our area. We all work together for a common purpose - to provide our customers with the best service.”
He completed the Executive Leadership Program at Ohio State University and has long-standing participation in various committees in the electric industry such as serving on the Contractor Task Force for NAED, Network Chair for AD and several manufacturers’ Executive Leadership Councils. You can find John enjoying all sorts of outdoor activities with his family. He loves all types of watersports such as jet skiing, boating and fishing, but his favorite pastime is playing golf and tennis with his children. He’s also enjoying the pickleball craze that’s sweeping across the country.
John has been serving on Affiliated Distributors committees for several years and was recently nominated as Chair to the AD Electrical Board of Directors by his peers.
Patrick Heenan
CFO
Since earning his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State and his MBA in finance from Widener, Patrick has navigated a successful career as a seasoned and strategic advisor with a proven record of managing development opportunities through revenue growth, risk mitigation, and cost reduction. Before coming to Fromm, he gained experience managing both small and large companies.
Patrick is proud of Fromm’s culture that is built on improvement, both internally and externally: “Our united approach enhances our capacity and resources and assists us in meeting the goals, challenges, and expectations of our partners each and every day.”
Lou Fromm
Vice President, Business Development
After earning a BA in communications and advertising from the University of Hartford, Lou spent five years working in the advertising, entertainment marketing, and event promotion industries. After moving back to southeastern PA, he made the decision to join his family business. He started out working in counter sales at the Pottstown and Souderton branches before becoming Souderton’s Branch Manager. Since then, he’s worked as Fromm’s Director of Residential Construction Sales and Vice President, Marketing & Communications before settling into his current role as Vice President, Business Development.
For Lou, it's all about pride: pride in supporting the family-owned company into its third generation of ownership; pride in working with people he’s known for most of his life; pride in being involved in initiatives that will help transform Fromm into being a market differentiator; and pride in seeing fellow associates work together to make Fromm great.
Bill Smith
Vice President, Commercial & Institutional Sales
Bill has worn many hats over the course of his career at Fromm. He started out working in Fromm’s lighting showroom before transitioning to Marketing and then to managing specialty supply programs, including services. Over the years, he’s also spent time on our outside sales team, managed branches, and was a Strategic Account Manager before settling into his current role.
Bill says he has always enjoyed working for Fromm because, “We are always looking ahead, learning what we can do to be better and differentiate ourselves from our competition. We are family focused and we have a feeling of family and community.” Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.
Stephen Miller
Vice President, Supply Chain
Steve has spent most of his career working in electrical engineering and wholesaling. After studying electrical engineering at Penn State, he opened his own electrical contracting business working on residential, industrial, and commercial controls. In the decades that followed, Steve also worked for an electrical distributor in the Lehigh Valley, in engineering and project management for Mack Trucks, and for his own wholesale automotive parts company before coming to Fromm.
According to Steve, Fromm is the perfect size company to be a part of: “I’ve worked for companies that are huge and I’ve been part of companies with just five employees. I like that we’re big enough to have an impact, but not so big that you don’t know everybody.” When Steve isn’t managing Fromm’s supply and inventory, he enjoys spending time with his family and feeding his passion for playing and watching ice hockey.
Josh Williams
Vice President, Industrial Sales
Prior to coming to Fromm, Josh worked in maintenance and engineering for more than 10 years at Bimbo Bakeries and East Penn Manufacturing. He joined the Fromm team as a product specialist and received promotions to Automation Product and Services Manager and now Vice President of the Industrial Sales division.
“The most important part of my job is to make sure our teams have the resources to help our customers succeed. I enjoy working at Fromm because I like working with people and solving problems and this aligns with Fromm’s goal of being the most trusted supplier of products and services.”
Outside of work, Josh enjoys watching the 49ers, playing golf, hosting his monthly poker game, and spending time with friends and family.
